(The following log features extracts from the Ship’s Official Log Book, with the entries recorded by the Officer of the Watch on the Navigational Bridge - 4-Day East Caribbean Sampler - November, 26 - November, 30, 2016)

At 04:45LT Royal Princess will make her final approach to Port Everglades through Bar Cut Channel, where the local pilot boarded at 05:00LT. Our stern will then swing to starboard and her bow to port where she will thrust bodily to starboard to gently come alongside the berth. With all lines fast at 06:00LT and the gangways rigged and ready, the passenger disembarkation will commence. From the Captain, Officers and all the crew on the Royal Princess, we hope you have enjoyed your cruise and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future.

At 16:08 we "let go" all our lines, moved off the berth and made our way out of the harbor waters through the buoyed channel. At 16:32, we disembarked our pilot and set an easterly course through the Straits of Florida. In the evening, we passed Great Isaac Island on our starboard side, entered the Northwest Providence Channel and set an east south-easterly course. Very late that evening, Royal Princess passed Great Stirrup Cay on her starboard side with a distance of approximately 5 nautical miles (5.75 statute miles).
